Live Box Magazine Interview- chatting bout myself...
November 2, 2014
So who is your biggest advocate as an artist, when you're starting out? Before press generates on your behalf, before your work is out there garnering audience, standing on it's own? You are.
I am. But O my Gosh...it's hard. Especially when you're a "behind-the-cameras" kind of person.
What drove me to be cooler about new photos and doing interviews was how proud I am of Blessed, of the people I'm working with on this project and what I hope to do with this film, for my career and definitely for my future audience.
In this age of this immense social media landscape, I have wondered just how an artist competes. How do you get seen? Who are you seen with and by?
I am so very happy that my first interview was with The Live Box Magazine, the creative project of Robin Keyser. I have the joy of having Robin in life (don't see her as much as I would like...) But she's a visionary, a very smart businesswoman, a successful entrerpenuer and a woman of depth.
With her, for her, it was easy to talk about Blessed and Through The Wilderness. And now, I want to tell the world.
The statistics pertaining to women in the film and television industry are a crying shame. And they need to change. So we're all doing our part. And that's easy to do with amazing folks holding you up as you go.
So thank you, again, Robin! And thank you to all our supporters!
