JOHN HERMANN is a Sheboygan, Wisconsin-born, LA-based independent film producer. A producer of features, documentaries, branded content and commercials, Hermann has seen all sides and sizes of productions. He’s production coordinated on Hulu’s original series, “Battleground,” and produced numerous commercials for clients such as Hugo Boss, Activision and Showtime Networks. In addition, he has produced award winning- short films that have taken home laurels from various festivals including the Las Vegas International Film Festival and FESPACO Pan-African film festival- the “Sundance of Africa”. Hermann has directed and produced documentaries that include the 40th Anniversary Documentary for the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc), one of the nation’s leading architecture schools. He produced the feature film “Prey” shot in Southwest Florida and directed by ex-NFL superstar, Simeon Rice, as well as another feature “After the Reality” which was shot on location in Northern Minnesota and stars Matthew Morrison, Sarah Chalke, Jane Lynch, Aimee Garcia, etc. Hermann’s latest feature “Band of Robbers” (in which he was Line Producer) is a modern day look into the lives of Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer, a story in which the hooligans are now 30 years old but otherwise unchanged. Hermann’s producing work has been highlighted in the San Fernando Valley Business Journal as one of the notable up-and- coming independent producers living in Los Angeles.
